Enter my World of Visions
Over the years, I’ve become more aware of "The Power of The Image.”
Through the image, we get closer to ourselves, we understand ourselves better. We heal. We grow. The images help us understand our lives on a much deeper level, whether in a dream or in a work of art.
These paintings come from my soul - from a deep transformational experience, a dream or a shamanic journey. For me, painting is a meditative process. I like to put on quiet music, burn some incense, and meditate on the image. When the painting tells me what to do, the brush flows smoothly.
Each of my work has a personal meaning, so I invite you click on the images below to see the paintings in full format and read their story.
Thank you for visiting my gallery... Bon Voyage!
BEYOND THE WAVE
Mischtechnik (egg tempera and oil) on gesso board, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2015
This is the second painting I completed, after my first work, the self-portrait “Neuronic Portrait.” It was inspired by a dream I had a few months before opening The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art. In my dream, I felt like I was going to die because a huge wave was heading towards me. But I focused all my intentions and went through the wave instead, miraculously surviving the ordeal.
This image stayed with me during the challenging times we had in creating the Academy during 2013 - it really felt like a tsunami! I was living in France with my husband Laurence Caruana and our son Clovis (who was 4 years old at the time). I speak German as a second language, but it was still quite an ordeal to move to Austria and deal with all the challenges of opening the school, finding an apartment, registering our son in kindergarten etc. It was indeed a big wave coming towards us - but we focused and went through it. We survived! In the end, we experienced seven very successful years there.
It became a lesson for us - when challenges come our way…stay centered, focus yourself, and go straight through.

DRAGON LADY
Mischtechnik (egg tempera and oil) on gesso board, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2015
In the Land of the Dragon Lady...
FIRE is LIGHT
Destruction equals Creation
Because ALL things are ONE,
Uniquely united.
LIGHT is a FIRE
Burning deep into her Soul.
On top of the Cliff made of Rubies,
The burning Heart beats
Inside the Cave and
Resonates into the World.
In the land of the Dragon Lady…
FIRE is LIGHT
LIGHT is FIRE
Creation equals Destruction
Destruction equals Creation.

ANGEL'S EYES
Acrylics & Oils on Canvas, 40 cm x 60 cm,
2015
The original inspiration for this painting came to me in 2006 in Mexico, during a night-long peyote ceremony. In my visions, a spirit with beautiful eyes looked directly at me, and I felt so safe and protected that I thought it must be an angel. Since I’d never had an experience like that before, the vision stayed with me for a long time. Nine years later, I finally began painting the eyes of this etherial figure…
When I began, I didn’t have much experience as a painter. I started it under the guidance of Autumn Skye Morrison and finished it with advice from Olga Klimova - all at The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art. The lower layers of this piece are in acrylics, which allowed me to quickly lay out the forms and play around with the design. Meanwhile, the upper layers are in oil, which allowed me to blend the colors more smoothly, add fine details (especially around the eyes) and achieve softer effects in the skin tones. During the painting process, geometrical designs developed naturally around the rose blossoming in the third eye.

MORNING VISION
Mischtechnik (egg tempera and oil) on Gesso Board, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2016
On July 11th 2016 at Torri Superiore, Italy, I woke up feeling the very strong presence of a Gorilla. He was so close to me that I felt he wanted to speak to me. It wasn’t a dream, but a morning vision more powerful than anything experienced before.
I started looking for reference photos and came across this image of Harry the silverback, a 29 year old gorilla who had recently passed away in the Dublin zoo. Immediately, I said to myself - that’s him! The gorilla was staring at me, as if it wanted to tell me something. The feeling was so strong that I immediately drew him into my sketch book.
At the time, I was going through a deep burnout, and I realized he was trying to warn me to stay strong and grounded, since something big was coming my way. But he was too late. I was already so deep into a burnout that I had to isolate myself for a week. So I went on a series of inner journeys that eventually led me to my vision of the phoenix (see my painting Transformation). The Gorilla appeared as my guide, my protector. And he remains a guardian that still comes to me in my journeys, since I have a lot to learn from him.
Gorillas are such wise, powerful creatures. They rule with temperance, understanding, compassion and balance. They have so much to teach us! I found a statement in the Irish Times that said “Harry was a very gentle and calm gorilla, and he will be greatly missed by everyone at Dublin Zoo.” He was “a handsome silverback and a wonderful leader.” But his spirit lives on, helping me to find inner strength when needed. And, in my journeys, I definitely see the silver light of the Moon reflecting off his back.
Thank you Harry.

TEARS OF COMPASSION
Tempera Grassa & Oil on Canvas, 60 cm x 80 cm,
2016
This painting is based on an experience close to my home in Burgundy France. Atop the hill of the village where I live stood a beautiful tree with a huge trunk and gigantic branches. One evening, during a melancholy walk at sunset, I discovered that the tree I loved so much had been cut down. In my heart, I felt such terrible pain that I had to crawl onto its severed stump, where I started crying. In part, I was crying because of my deep melancholy. But, as soon as my tears started flowing, I felt the unique presence of the tree, as if it were still there, helping me to release my tears! The spirit of the tree was holding me in my pain and, in return, my tears were giving life back to him. So, I felt them to be Tears of Compassion.
I began this painting under the guidance of Daniel Mirante, who showed me how to work out the shapes in brown tempera grassa, then add whites and coloured glazes, layer by layer. It was a real challenge to evoke the spiritual tree through the transparency of its trunk, but I kept moving gently back and forth between the foreground and background. While painting it, I wrote a little poem that I'd like to share:
When the tears of Compassion rise up
Anything is possible
Everything is possible.
The deepest roots can grow again
Freely from the bottom of your heart
When the feelings are stronger
Than the most stable tree
Anything is possible
Everything is possible.
But what if unexpectedly
A sharp edge cuts you off
The unbearable pain remains
The scream inside is stronger
Than the most painful death
Of the purest love story.
But when real tears of Compassion rise up
Anything is possible
Everything is possible.
The stump remains
But he's not alone
'Cause the tears are filled
With magical power
They give life again.
The spiritual tree gets nurished
To blossom into a new world
With so many beautiful possibilities.
The explosion of vegetation
The abundance of colors
Make the fairy happy,
Wrapped up around her friend
The healing Serpent teacher.
He knows.
He will teach her
That when the real tears of Compassion rise up
Anything is possible
Everything is possible.

TRANSFORMATION
Acrylic, Oil & Egg Tempera on Canvas, 60 cm x 80 cm
2017
Before you rise again, transformed, first you have to burn to ashes...a good reminder to let go of everything… This vision of the Phoenix came to me during an intense burnout in 2016, when I could actually feel my body burning, as if invisible flames were rising off my skin. It was time to let go of my old self and embrace the new one - the higher self, the artist and inner journeyer in me. So I retreated, not seeing anyone and barely eating for a week, while journeying, writing things down and journeying again.
One day, I realized that I needed to find some way out of this situation, and the simple words “LET GO” came to me. I needed to let go of everything, to release myself completely, so I just lay there, letting myself burn away into ashes and dust. At that moment, the image of a gigantic Phoenix came to me, and it gave me a tremendous feeling of hope. If the Phoenix rises, then I can too! So I left behind all the heavy things that weren’t serving me anymore, and embraced my new self. Slowly, I rose up from the ashes and embraced the fact that I’m an artist and journeyer. This was a big turning point in my life. I was 44 years old.
Surrender to the transformation...
Transform into nothingness
Burn
Dissolve
Disappear...
Let the Phoenix within
Rise up from its own ashes
Let the Phoenix come out
of Yourself.
Liberating the star dust,
all the particles of light
accumulated in its body.
It's a new beginning,
A transformation.
Embrace your new self
Feel your new body
May your heart be at peace.
You are born again
Into the dancing Goddess of Fire.
It's a Rebirth.
It's the Birth...of a Rebirth...

MANDALA OF THE FOUR ELEMENTS
Acrylics & UV Paint on Textile, 95 cm x 135 cm,
2019
I started this piece in 2016 at The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art while Ihti Anderson was teaching. He paints with UV colours on a black background, and his unique approach revealed to me new dimensions in colour and form. The initial vision for this work came to me during a dream, where I saw the colors of the rainbow join together. So I began with the swirling motif in the centre. While painting, my vision naturally expanded to the Four Dragons in the corners, each representing a different element: Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
To see the painting more clearly, I undertook an inner journey where I moved through a beautiful temple, penetrating far into each of its four corners, where a different dragon offered its own unique healing power. At the end, I came to the center of the temple, where I saw a beautiful stained-glass dome that cast its rainbow colors onto a floor covered with geometrical patterns.
It became a place of inner peace, and every time I enter this temple, I feel such a profound sense of calm that I always feel regenerated once I come out. Inside, I allow myself to be healed. The Earth Dragon brings me to a place of deep connection with nature; the Air Dragon lets my prayers fly away into the spirit world; the Water Dragon washes off all the things that need to be released; and the Fire Dragon fills me with a fiery inner spark, inspiring me to get on with my life.
As a result of this experience, I’ve written a full inner journey called The Temple of the Four Elements, where we move through its sacred space to receive a different healing from each element. Earth, Air, Fire, and Water - we are made of them; we are them; we join with them.
May the dragons of the elements send you healing…

CRYSTALLINE DREAM
Mischtechnik (egg tempera and oil) on Gesso Board, 50 cm x 70 cm,
2020
I started this painting after a very vivid dream. I was sitting in a river and playing with small, smooth crystals in the water - everything was shining with such bright colours. A bit further down was an amazing waterfall, with clear water flowing over crystalline rocks and amethysts. So, I began this painting, working in layers of white egg tempera and coloured oil glazes. It was a very long and involved process. Just when it felt like the painting was nearly finished, I journeyed on the image, thinking about the last brush strokes. Suddenly, all the characters came alive and interacted with me. I even heard one of them say "It’s OK. We’re here now. You don’t need to do any last touches - just sign it!”
During my journey through the image, I started by gazing at the Egg of Feminine Power in the middle, then moved to the Lovers connecting so deeply on the left, and further left to the Magician of the Crystals. He told me that I have to give unconditionnal love to the crystals, so they can give their healing power back. I followed his advice and activated all the crystals in this painting…
Then I was invited to join the crystalline fairies on the right, who are healing with rose quartz and pure crystal. After that, my gaze went up to the little figure (me) reaching out to the White Phoenix - who invited me to jump onto his back and fly out to the temples in the background. There, in the midst of those temples, I found a beautiful fountain full of healing crystals, which my friends and I had to activate with our unconditonnal love. Once the crystals were shining, we put them back into the fountain, then all jumped into the water, feeling the healing effect of the fountains’ Watery Light.
THIS… is the HEALING POWER of PAINTING…
Enjoy the Ride!

THE MYSTERY OF LIFE
Casein, Egg Tempera & Oil on Canvas Board, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2021
I started this little piece after an inner journey led by Amanda Sage during the 2018 Summer Seminar in Torri Superiore, Italy. I finished it in 2021 on the day of the summer solstice. The summer solstice brings new life, new projects, transformation, hope, rebirth and light.
Life is a Mystery and always will be. All we can do is paint its beauty, and shine the light - the light that the Inner Child receives - and spread it through the world.

THE POWER OF CREATION
Acrylic & Oil on canvas, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2021
I’d like to dedicate this little painting to all the people who get stuck sometimes in their creative process… It’s not unexpected, but remember, the Power of Creation is always there. The Power of Creation is within you, that little flame gently burning inside - that little flame on the tip of your brush… Sometimes you might feel like the flame isn’t burning anymore… So light a candle and ask for it to return… Sometimes, that flame can grow to huge proportions, even become overwhelming… But don’t be afraid! If it gets too big, you can always cool it down (see the water at the bottom of the volcano…).
Remember the Flame of joy
Remember the Flame of life
Remember the Flame of love
Remember The Power of Creation…
This image came to me while leading a guided meditation for Stefan Lucas’ Online Fundraiser Workshop called “Landscape with Depth’ (which you can purchase in my Workshops Page).
This vision began with a brush coming out of a mountain. During the painting process, the mountain became a volcano. That showed me pretty clearly that I needed to dedicate more time to my creative process. So, I was grateful to have a break from my Academy duties to dive into my dreams, my inner journeys, painting, singing, writing…

THORAGNI
Acrylics, Egg Tempera & Oil on Canvas Board, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2021
I AM THE GUARDIAN OF YOUR TEMPLE RUBIES
I AM THE PASSION OF YOUR CREATIVITY
I AM THE FEELING OF YOUR LOVE FIERY…
Those words came out during my daily walk in Nature, while connecting with this Dragon and asking what he means to me...
This was the year of the pandemic, and we were forced into lockdown. So, ThorAgni had to make sure that the inner fire is still alive, burning in balance with my body & soul. This is what kept me going!
I started this painting in 2020, during Stefan Lucas Allen's Online Fundraiser Workshop for The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art called Paint Your Dragon (which you can purchase in my Workshops Page). I offered an inner journey to meet your own dragon, and he taught the students how to paint it.

MOONDANCE VISION
Acrylics on Canvas, 80 cm x 120 cm,
2022
This painting depicts several important experiences I’ve had in dreams and visions related to the Moondance - such as meeting with the Mexican Grandmother Tonalmitl and encountering some of my spirit animals.
Grandmother Tonalmitl, who was vital in reviving the Moondance tradition in Mexico, appeared to me in a shamanic journey. In the vision, I was kneeling in front of her and she was holding a bowl of water where I could see the Moonlight reflected. She invited me to look into the water and suddenly I saw a white rabbit jump out of the bowl! Next to us was a deer, with its beautiful energy expressed through golden sparkles in its antlers, and he invited me to dance!
I had no more doubts. The message couldn’t be clearer - especially since the rabbit and the deer are two of the main symbols of the Moondance. The call was strong! I HAD to go to the Moondance… And I DID!
The Moondance is a deeply spiritual ceremony where, for four nights, the women fast, participate in sweatlodges, dance under the full moon and sing sacred songs while dressed in their traditional white robes. This ceremony is a prayer for Mother Earth, for Peace, for the Four Elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water, for our Ancestors, and for the Spirit Guardians of the Seven Directions: East, North, West, South, Sky, Earth and Center. The men also have an important role to play since they hold space for the women, take care of the children, watch over the sacred fire, prepare herbal tea for the Moondancers… In short, we wouldn’t be able to do it without them.
This is all about balance - balance within ourselves, balance between the Masculine & the Feminine.
In the 1990’s, a small group of nine women, including Grandmother Tonalmitl, decided to revive this tradition in Mexico for the sake of our beautiful planet. Now, around 700 sisters dance every year in Mexico, and several Moondances are opening across Europe.
In 2017, Grandmother Tonalmitl answered Antara Dakini’s call and came to Vienna to present the Moondance. We had a wonderful weekend, along with sisters Amarilla XiuhCoatl and Tilo Ameyaltzin, who offered lectures and sweatlodges… I participated in the event, became very intrigued, and felt like I almost died in the sweatlodge ! But, coming out of it, I felt a complete transformation. I now understood… how the water I was drinking and the air I was breathing is so precious, and how life itself is so sacred.
I’ve been a Moondancer in Austria for several years now, and I really don’t have the words to express all that this beautiful ceremony has brought to me.
If you’d like to know more about the Moondance, please visit www.moondanceaustria.com. The work is ancestral and crosses all cultures.
The Moondancers are on the path of becoming Medicine Women, and it’s up to us, the women connecting from all over the world, to integrate and transmit what we’re learning and experiencing through the Moondance. These rituals have come to us as ancestral knowledge and it’s now our responsibility to study and revive our own cultural inheritance, to help us create UNITY between nations.
UNITY & PEACE IN THE WORLD.

INNER LANDSCAPE
INNER CHILD
Acrylic & Oil on Canvas, 30 cm x 40 cm,
2018
I started this piece at The 2017 House of Alchemy exhibition in Brighton, during an Evening Workshop given by Kuba Ambrose and Vera Atlantia. As Vera led us through a guided meditation to visualize our Inner Landscape, I saw this baby girl, my Inner Child, in the middle of a beautiful landscape inspired by Torri Superiore, Italy. An ancient rock, so tall and wise, was looking over the child as its protector, while releasing a stream of water from its mouth, that flowed like a river over the stones.
The baby girl was so joyful, innocent and happy, so glowing and full of wonder - ready for her new life and already living the beautiful sunset behind her.

ALCHEMICHAL CROCODEAGLE
Oil on copper plate, 15 cm x 20 cm,
2014
I made this small painting during The Alchemy of Paint intensive at The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art in 2014, where Timea Tallian taught us how to paint on a copper plate in oils.
This little creature came to me during an inner journey led by Kevin Campeau, where I saw a combined eagle-and-crocodile, much like a sculpture, holding a torch in its mouth. It became my guide for an inner journey into the world of alchemy, where the moon, the sun and a red ruby were also strongly present, along with all the planets.

NEW BEGINNINGS
Oil on Canvas Board, 30 x 40 cm,
2016
I painted this portrait very quick in 5 days, while Laurence Caruana wasn't watching, it was a surprise present for our 20th wedding anniversary on October 19th 2016.
The painting is inspired by a photo taken the summer of that same year during our painting seminar in Torri Superiore/Italy, and the make up was made by one of the Seminar students, Ian McDonald, so I thought it'd be fun to keep it for the portrait !
Our secret? Never fall into routine, and look for new beginnings every now and then.
Life has been a great adventure alongside this man, and will continue to be. Thank you my love for being my partner in life... we laugh, we cry, we argue, we reconcile, that's what makes this adventure exciting!
Thank you for letting me become an artist, and above all, thank you for being the father of our beautiful son.

CLOVIS, MY RAINBOW BUTTERFLY
Oil on board, 30 x 40 cm,
2018
I started this painting of our son in 2017 at our Visions in the Mischtechnik Seminar under the guidance of Laurence Caruana (Artist, teacher, Academy director, and... most importantly father of this beautiful child!).
The painting is called "Clovis, my rainbow butterfly" and is based on a photo of him when he was 7 and a half years old. When he was around that age, I used to call him a rainbow butterfly before we said good night in the evenings.
The golden Dragonfly represents me, his mother, since he used to call me that. This painting is to remember those beautiful moments between mother and son. The star in the sky? Well, probably Daddy watching over him? The landscape and the sea in the background are inspired by the mediterannean landscape around Torri Superiore/Italy.

FOREVER YOUNG
Oil on Board, 40 cm x 60 cm, 2016
This painting is based on a tiny photo of my parents dancing at a ball in 1956, a year before they got married, in September 1957. The painting was a gift to them in 2017 for their 60th wedding anniversary.
I kept the colors in the browns and did a decalcomania in the background, this way they seem to come straight out of eternal time. Unfortunately, both of them passed away in 2022 and I miss them tremendously. My mum lived to 90 years old and my Dad to 89 years old. They had a wonderful long life and loved to dance, listen to accordeon music and viennese valse.
Each moment spent with them is still engraved in my memory and they will be in my heart forever.
